What are you doing today? What are you doing this week? What are you doing with your life? The answers to these questions don’t hinge on your age. You’re who you are because that’s how God made you. This is the theme for this Wednesday’s Work Blog.
Out of insecurities we often ask this question: What if I’m not supposed to be or do___ (fill in the blank). The better question would be this: What if I am supposed to be or do____ (fill in the blank). The perspective dynamically changes when you ask it the second way. God creates each of his children to be a canvas and their life is the paint on the pallet.
In the latter way of asking the question… our focus shifts and our choices become more intentional. We no longer look for assurances—for we see the bigger picture. Our endeavors become peppered with God’s love and eternal-perspective. We’re no longer motivated by money and the things the world offers. We need no confirmation via those windows. Rather, we begin to see our true heart’s desire. The one God planted in us from birth and we find that we run to paint that canvas! No longer are we captivated by insecurities, hesitancies, doubts and fears. Our perspective for this life and world greatly enlarges! And we can’t stop painting on that canvas! In fact it becomes a lifestyle. Imagine that, our life and the things we endeavor are entwined with all we do—as it should be!
I want to continue this thought process with you but it’s enough to begin the shift on this week’s, Wednesday Work Blog. For today, let’s begin to see our lives as the art on the canvas that’s our life. And I’m on this journey with you… please know, that I first ask myself the same questions I ask you. So, let’s grow together! Let’s paint masterpieces that glorify God—this side of heaven. When we see him face to face he will connect the dots and unveil the beauty that rippled out, from this thing called our life!
On this Hump-Day Wednesday remember that Friday is always acomin’… but most importantly, Christ is coming back too!
