On this Hump-Day Wednesday Work Blog let’s discuss God’s wisdom. Isaiah 1:18 says, “Come now, and let us reason together, ‘says the Lord,’ though your sins are as scarlet, they will be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they will be like wool.”
I just finished the first book in a series for women and older teens. The series is called Grafted in, Becoming Family and the first book is A New Creation. The series highlights salvation and then discloses what the Christian walk looks like. We hear a lot about salvation but what happens after salvation? Often visitors go to church and get confused by what they see there. Even believers can get confused by what they see there. This series reveals what a life looks like pre-salvation and post-salvation. The struggles don’t stop at salvation. The dynamics of those struggles change. This series will take a close look at the Christian walk. We’ll follow key characters to learn how they navigate their internal/external struggles.
Grafted in Becoming Family is a series that’s loosely based on true events. All names have been changed. I will release the digital version of the first book three chapters at a time. It will cost only two dollars to read each segment. Should you wish to have the paperback version it will be offered to you at a discount. I ask that you share the media link with all you think should read it and enjoy it. I need all the help I can get to get the word out about my books.
As I write these books, I’m reminded how time truly does fly. As I grow older, I can see the results in the mirror, but I also see it in wisdom that I continue to gain. My body and wisdom are in constant conflict as the body wears out, but my wisdom grows newer and greater. I often wish I could have known this wisdom when I was younger and this process that I’m referring to escapes no one. And as the child of God grows with God’s wisdom this conflict grows with intensity. Then we’re reminded of what God says in 2 Corinthians 4:16… “Though our outer man is decaying; our inner man is being renewed day by day.” And we rejoice that our hope is eternal!
I’m reminded of a comment from a great person of God… “We are a soul and we have a body.” We need to remember that we’re traveling through this time portal on earth. And while here, we are to glorify God. This series is an attempt at that and with his help, it will be achieved.
