Fine but not my favorite for Christmas
We were given a copy to review.
It was a cute story and it rhymed. But the only thing that made it a Christmas story was the fact that it happened on Christmas. There wasn't a ton of Jesus in the story. My daughter would have preferred more /bigger pictures. She also didn't like the way it ended and wanted to hear more. Good discussion questions at the end, but more for older children, ages 8 and up.
The Advent activity book was more about Jesus which I appreciated. I think the activities are suited for kids 8 and up.
Great Advent Study
We are really enjoying using this set to change up our annual Advent study! We read the book together as a family and the children all enjoyed the story and the rhyming style of the words. We are working our way through the activity book and enjoying each day's activity. We particularly love that there is a song included each day as my children all enjoy music. As a busy mom I like that the activities are meaningful but fairly simple to set up and implement. *I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.*
